Senior Consultant Energy Markets Analytics

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Consultant to join our growing Energy Markets Analytics team. In this role, you will play a key role in providing strategic insights and analysis to support our energy clients in Chile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate energy price forecasts for the Chilean market.
- Conduct comprehensive price analysis and forecasts, including projections for services, products, and demand.
- Manage our Chilean electricity price modeling system, incorporating market trends, scenario analysis (climate, electric vehicles, distributed generation), and medium/long-term forecasting.
- Ensure data quality and accuracy through webservice feeding and refinement of forecasting tools and models.
- Leverage big data and data mining techniques to conduct comprehensive energy market analysis and provide weekly reports.
- Collaborate effectively with LATAM and European teams, as well as internal consulting teams, to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Perform quantitative and regulatory market analysis, including market price forecasts for various market segments (Wholesale, Capacity, Stabilized Price, Ancillary Services).
- Analyze revenues and associated risks for clients.
- Conduct tailored analyses as required by client engagements.
- Maintain strong communication channels with clients before, during, and after consulting projects.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Chilean electricity market, including: Renewables, storage and price forecasting.
- Proficiency in programming languages, such as: Python, VBA, SQL or other.
- Knowledge of energy modeling software, such as: Plexos, PLP or other.
- Written and verbal communication skills in English.
